There are too many natural hair care blogs dedicated to Women of Color for anybody’s head to be looking like this, but that’s another blog entry.
The story behind this lovely mugshot and potential Tyler Perry come-to-Jesus stage play character has been twisted.
Natina Reed, one third of the Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes discovered R&B trio Blaque, was popped on April 13 in Dekalb County, Georgia for violating the open container laws and disorderly conduct. How dreadful. After posting a $420 cash bond the she was released the following day.
To add insult to injury, there is a MediaTakeOut-esque pseudo arrest report floating around the internet that has been photoshopped and screwed to show the arrest was for prostitution and cocaine possession.
A gossip blog, which shall remain nameless, decided to use this former celebrity’s unfortunate situation to gain a few hits by doctoring the original arrest report to show that Reed had been arrested for drug possession and prostitution.
Those charges are patently false.
When Reed’s former band member Brandy Harris was reached for a comment, she expressed surprise at the fake charges.
Harris said she was “shocked” to hear that a blog Photoshopped Reed’s police report to include charges that were not on the original arrest report. She said her thoughts and Prayers go out to Natina because “now [the false charges are] out there on the Internet.”
Its a shame really. The only thing that should have been touched by a photoshop angel went neglected. I’ll let you figure that one out.

Lethal Bizzle photographed at a concert organised by the Communist Party front organisation “Searchlight” which campaigns against the BNP.
British National Party legal officer Lee Barnes has laid a criminal charge against Ghanaian-origin rap singer “Lethal Bizzle” after he called for Nick Griffin’s murder on Twitter.
Lethal Bizzle, whose real name is Maxwell Ansah, sent out a Twitter message yesterday which read: “Got an idea, u wanna be famous? Kill the BNP leader, u will be a hero.”
Mr Barnes said this was a threat which could not be taken lightly.
“He is linked with black gun gangs in London and this constitutes a serious threat,” Mr Barnes said.
The Serious Crime Act 2007, section 45 states that a person commits an offence if:
(a)he does an act capable of encouraging or assisting the commission of an offence; and
(b)he believes–
(i)that the offence will be committed; and
(ii)that his act will encourage or assist its commission.
“Mr Ansah’s twitter is clearly an incitement to serious violence against Nick Griffin,” Mr Barnes said.
“Imagine if a threat like that had been issued by Mr Griffin against Mr Ansah. The BNP leader would have been arrested within minutes, but it seems that black rappers are somehow protected.”

CRAP:Black robber exposed as white man in mask!!!!

A white bank robber fooled detectives by wearing a Hollywood special effects mask that disguised him as a black man.
Conrad Zdzierak, 30, is accused of using the silicon mask for six robberies — five on the same day.
Believing they were searching for an African-American male, police in Springdale, Ohio, had released CCTV footage from the banks in a appeal for information.
But after a tip-off, officers found Zdzierak at the nearby Extended Stay America Hotel, where he is thought to have been living.
The interior of his Volvo was splattered with red dye from an exploding ink pack taken from a bank during one of the hauls, police said. Officers also discovered the $700 (£450) mask.
Lieutenant Michael Mathis of Springdale police admitted police had been fooled and said he had never seen anything like it.
“The suspect seen in the surveillance photographs we believed to be an African-American male,” he said. “The suspect was actually a male, white, who was wearing an elaborate disguise. He wore what I’m calling a Hollywood-quality’ mask.”
At Hamilton County municipal court, Zdzierak was charged with robbing five banks and a pharmacy. Five of the raids are said to have taken place on April 9. He is being held on a $3 million bond.
