MPC FLY // I THINK I WANT ONE //LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

I DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT THIS TIL JUST NOW .. I’M IN LUUUURRRRVVE

How NOT to beat match and NOT mix BY NOT DJing

To be honest she didn’t call herself “DJ” and let’s face it what she’s doing in this tutorial isn’t Dj’ing. I hope this chick loves musi but stays in her room or on the patio at least .Unfortunately turds like this are what’s running around all cities globally calling themselves DJ. Playing 4 hour sets for £20 and a beer. It’s cool to want to DJ. It takes work and experience to actually be one.

IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR VIDEOS ON DJ’ING, STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE.

I JUST CALLED NUMARK ..    THEY WILL PAY HER TO USE HER ANOTHER BRAND INSTEAD (J/K)

AraabMUZIK checks out the MPC Renaissance .. Whooo!!!

Gosh darn it ..   it’s smaller  than i thought it was …  This is  Araab  messing around with the new MPC R . . we’ll see how good and how expensive it is as time  goes by. if you’ve bought Maschine less than a year ago are you seriously looking to swap boxes.

DJ RIG IS COMING FOR THE IPHONE SOON !!!whoopee??

Normlly I hate things like this as I feel they detract from the art and the passion – they tend to be gimmicky and and in usage, dont function very well for the purpose the were designed for. I near enough bypassed CDs and hung defiantly to vinyl however over years I’ve embraced the advancements in Digital vinyl solutions from serato which I use primarily . I even have a numark mixterack pro which I use on serato Dj intro for those times when I need to get in and set up and go (normally when the venue or party just has an amplifier and nothing else). Iphone Ipad dj’ing seems rubbish up until this point with the advent of DJ rig may change this. It’s been laubhed at CES this year in las vegas to a good shout so far. below is the bumph for and  the CES article from the LA Times

CES 2012: iPhone app scratches an itch for wannabe DJs

Turntable techniquesWhat does it take to be a pro DJ? It used to be two turntables and a microphone. Not so anymore. It’s not unusual to see iPads and iPhones instead.

DJ really doesn’t mean disc jockey these days; it’s more apt to call them digital jockeys.

Pro equipment can get really pricey and take a few trips from the truck to set up.

But IK Multimedia has an app that may put the power of a pro DJ in your pocket.

At CES in Las Vegas, the company announced that it will soon release DJ Rig, an iPhone app that brings smooth transitions, scratching, sampling and beat matching to the party.

The app includes features found in other DJ apps such as access to the on-board iPhone music library and playlists, auto-sync technology, interactive waveform display and auto looping.

What makes IK Multimedia suggest this app may be a game-changer are features such as detection and adjustment for volume and cross-fading equalizing, a sync mode that detects beats per minute from external devices in real time and automatically syncs the tempo of internal decks to external decks. It has an on-the-fly sampler and live sampling capabilities.

And, if you want to go a little old school, the new DJ Rig app has a scratching engine that is supposed to emulate the behavior of real decks. The app also promises to include several output configurations, so you can adapt to different audio setups.

The regular version will cost about $10; there will be a scaled-down free version, expandable through in-app purchase. A universal iPad app is also in the works.

Among other coming-soon announcements for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad from the company out of CES: a mobile mixer (iRig Mix, $100), a live-performance stompbox guitar/bass interface (iRig Stomp, $60) and a compact voice-recording mic (iRig Mic Cast, $40).

LL COOL J LAUNCHES ONLINE VIRTUAL STUDIO [NOT HEADPHONES]

For once there is not a sign of a  pair of headphones that is “the best I’ve ever heard music out of”.. besides would I thnk it would be better for rappers to launch an awesome mic and let the superstar producers hande the audible side of things. LL cool J has been a mainstay and a pioneer in Hiphop culture especially being the on of the first acts to be signed by the legendary DefJam  so it’s apt that he likes being a leader . at CES this year the icon releases a way of being in the same place at the same time…without having tobe .   do it online  ( why didn’t i think of that)   Think of it as having a svideoconference for music-studio dwellers..

“The problem was: I’m in L.A.; my producer or my engineer’s in New York. I want to go in the studio tonight, but I want to collaborate,” LL Cool J said at a press gathering at the Las Vegas Convention Center. “I don’t want to email you my track and then you email me back your bass line, then I email you back a vocal and then you email me back a drum and then we email back and forth and back and forth.”

Can’t wait to try it out .  not sure wether you can build a track from scratch on it or just upload your parts .. still a good idea nonetheless.
